Antibody Testing through Northern Westchester Hospital

Our thanks to our partner Northern Westchester Hospital who just began antibody testing for first responders in Bedford, Lewisboro, Mt. Kisco, Lewisboro, New Castle, North Castle, North Salem, Pleasantville, Pound Ridge, Somers and Yorktown Heights. Antibody testing soon will be available to residents as well. Please note that this form of testing, unlike the diagnostic testing at the drive-through facility, is for the purpose of detecting the presence of antibodies which indicate that the individual had previously been infected with the virus. It does not detect whether the individual presently is infected.

As mentioned above, NWH has been providing testing for first responders and provided to us the following update this afternoon: “Since we opened this week, we have over 400 first responders and essential workers registered and 216 have already come through and been tested! 109 have gone to the Center for Healthy Living and 107 have come to the Hospital. Here is the dashboard – Awesome first week!  Thank you for continuing to spread the word to all first responders and essential workers.  We routinely hear positive feedback and words of thanks from all who have come.

I-684 Paving Project – Resuming Work

Work will be done on I-684 beginning Monday May 18.  There will be a speed reduction for both northbound and southbound lanes of traffic.  Please be aware that the Exit 6/SMRP closures will begin with the drainage work on the SMRP NB/684 ramp on the northbound side as basin/crossing work progresses.  Also, both northbound and southbound Exit 6 ramp closures will occur with guide rail replacement. Northbound and Southbound Exit 6 ramp closures will occur 8pm-5am with detours in place, and the Southbound side lane closure will begin at 7PM. There will be work done on both sides.  This will continue through May 21 and then guide rail replacement will continue again May 26 through May 28. All work is weather dependent and may shift accordingly, and, as of now, June 7 is the tentative date to start paving.
