TOWN OF BEDFORD TOWN BOARD MEETING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that based upon notices and health advisories issued by Federal, State and Local officials related to the COVID-19 virus, the Town of Bedford Town Board will hold a Regular Town Board Meeting on Tuesday December 1, 2020 as follows: At 7:05 PM a Public Hearing on the 2021 Town Budget:
2021 SCHEDULE of SALARIES AND WAGES – ELECTED OFFICIALS
Town Supervisor – $155,916 plus $6,000 auto allowance
Deputy Supervisor – $18,266 plus $708 Deputy Supervisor Stipend
Town Board Members $18,266
Town Clerk $110,531
Town Justice $49,364
Town Justice $48,634
A copy of the Preliminary Budget may be found on the Towns Website under the Finance Department.
At 7:15 PM, a Work Session on possible changes to the Leaf blower law and at 8:00 PM, the Regular Town Board Meeting. All meetings will be via videoconferencing, as permitted by the NYS Open Meetings Law. As permitted under the Governor of the State of New York’s Emergency Order Number 202.1, due to public health and safety concerns, the public will not be permitted to attend the Town Board meeting in person at any of the remote locations where the Town Board members will be situated, or in any other location. The public will have an opportunity to see and hear the meeting live and provide comments via the Zoom videoconference meeting.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town Board’s agenda is available online in advance of meetings at www.bedfordny.gov, click on https://bedfordny.gov/meetings-agendas/. The agenda will also provide further information relating to how to view and access the meeting.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that comments for the public comment session can be (1) sent in advance of the meeting or during the meeting to firstname.lastname@example.org; (2) through the Zoom videoconference of the meeting. To the extent one does not have access to the internet, comments can also be made by no later than 2pm of the day of the meeting to the Town Clerk, email@example.com.
INSTRUCTIONS TO ACCESS THE VIRTUAL MEETING: If you have a computer, tablet or smartphone, you can register, log in and see the video and hear the audio of the live session. You can access the Zoom meeting through the ZOOM meeting website at https://zoom.us/j/ and clicking on “Join a Meeting”, and enter meeting ID 982 2938 9243 (no password required). You can also call in to the ZOOM meeting at +1 646 558 8656 when prompted, enter 982 2938 9243.
On the afternoon of December 1, 2020, 5 minutes before 7:05 PM, log in with your computer or your telephone. You will be placed on hold until the meeting starts. The Zoom chat facility will also be available during the public hearing portions of the meeting to submit written comments. If anyone has questions about accessing the Zoom videoconference they should email the Town Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org.
