As Supervisor, I serve as the Chief Fiscal Officer, responsible for preparing the Town’s budget for consideration and adoption by our Town Board, of which I am a member. I chair Town Board meetings and set its agendas.

As Chief Executive Officer of the Town, I am responsible for implementing Board policies and overseeing the day to day functions and operations of the Town through our department heads.

My office is always open to you. The Board, Department Heads, and our dedicated Town Employees have worked hard to find ways to provide a high level of services and facilities at minimal cost to our residents. We will continue to do so.

It is my great honor to serve the community as your Supervisor.
I work in partnership with our residents and businesses.

Please feel free to contact me any time you have any problems, concerns or suggestions.

Welcome to the Town of Bedford.

I am very proud of what is offered here – thanks to the tremendous spirit of community and volunteerism shared by Bedford’s residents.

Your Town government provides services to the community with its full-time Police Department, Department of Public Works and Recreation and Parks Department. We are proud of their work and responsiveness to the residents and businesses of the Town.

The Town is comprised of three unincorporated hamlets, Bedford Hills, Bedford Village and Katonah. Each has its own identity with a rich history and wonderful resources. You will be amazed at the depth and scope of what is offered. Each hamlet features a library, which open to all, and which focuses on the needs of its community. Each hamlet is served by their its own fire department, whose volunteer members meet the hamlet’s needs of fire protection and work together to protect all Bedford residents. Bedford is also tremendously grateful for the volunteers of the Katonah/Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

All Bedford residents are welcome to use the facilities of our three town parks for swimming, picnicking, and a broad range of other activities. We are fortunate to have scores of museums, nature trails, horse trails, conservancy organizations and service clubs and organizations working tirelessly and selflessly for our community.

I am here to serve the community in partnership with our residents and businesses. Please feel free to contact me any time you have any problems, concerns or suggestions. You may also wish to meet with me, so please call to set up an appointment. If you have a disability or otherwise cannot come to me, please call and I’ll come to you.

Warm regards,

Ellen
