We are thrilled the Conservation Board's new garden is in full bloom in front of the Town House, featuring native plants and sustainable landscaping practices. Community members may visit at any time and check out the various plants that are great for pollinators and thrive in sunny conditions. Check out the list of plant species (PDF) included in the Rain Garden with pictures and information. For more information about native, natural, nontoxic gardening, visit Westchester Pollinators on Healthy Yards.
The Town of Bedford is a proud signer of the Mayor's Monarch Pledge which is a promise to protect pollinators and educate the public to join in the effort. The Conservation Board's Rain Garden is just one of the ways we are doing that!
